We are looking for a well-versed and resourceful Marketing Intern to help scale our social enterprise startup in San Francisco.

About OmniVis:

Cholera is a disease that affects 5M people in 41 countries annually. Current cholera detection platforms are time-intensive, costly, and imprecise, exacerbating widescale disease outbreaks throughout the world. This disease wastes $2 billion annually in treatments and lost productivity that could be avoidable through early detection.

OmniVis’ smartphone-enabled hardware device and single-use disposable test kit (razor/razorblade model) attaches to a smartphone and reduces the detection process from 3-5 days down to 30 minutes, accurately and affordably. Additionally, OmniVis’ data gathering & reporting tools provide insights over disease hotspots; enabling earlier warning before widescale outbreaks occur. OmniVis is able to detect cholera as well as COVID-19 in saliva.

The Role:

OmniVis wants to improve and grow our brand. You will be conducting research and compiling data that will be vital in improving traffic to our website. You’ll be assisting in the day-to-day management including social media strategy, email campaigns, event ideas, copywriting, working on the company blog, and developing your own unique strategies. This will include quality control and optimization for search, as well as admin and maintenance on all supporting content across our site. You will be collaborating with our entire team, including leaderships, cofounders, and engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and execute work as required

• Support social media development.

• Develop relevant material and campaigns that appeal to a greater audience that relates to OmniVis.

• Increase OmniVis presence in the greater community.

• Maintain consistent branding.

• Develop new and creative ideas for blog posts, social media channels, and other marketing materials as is relevant.

Qualifications:

  • Excitement for our social impact mission and vision.

  • Self-starter, taking high-level, potentially vague assignments and filling in the blanks.

  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality.

  • Positive attitude.

  • Extremely proactive.

  • Implementer.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (or willingness to develop them)

  • Critical thinker
